Champagne

Champagne, considered the king of sparkling wines, is part of all your festive moments. Thanks to the great Benedictine monk Dom Pérignon, champagne has come down to us through centuries, is renowned throughout the world and has conquered the palates of wine lovers everywhere.

Today, the Champagne wine region is internationally recognised and represents one of the fundamental pillars of French winemaking.

Located in the heart of the Champagne winemaking region, Barbier Louvet grand cru champagne is produced according to the purest traditions of French champagne.

Our winegrowing property is located in Tauxières Mutry on the southern slope of the Reims mountain in the Côte des Noirs terroir. Our vineyard extends across nine communes including Bouzy Grand Cru, one of the 17 villages famous for their grands crus.

A winegrower's wine, a guarantee of quality

We are committed to offering you champagne of exceptional quality. Owners of our won vineyard from father to son, our champagnes are made from grapes exclusively from our "Pinot Noir" and "Chardonnay" grape varieties.

As a grower-producers, we handle all the winemaking work ourselves. We work our vines and our champagnes in order to offer a winegrower's wine that reflects our terroir. Thanks to the know-how passed down from generation to generation, each step is entirely done by hand. From the size to the bottling and the blending with reserve wines, we meticulously control every aspect of the production in order to preserve the unique character of our champagne. In order to guarantee the quality of our products to you, we adhere to the Independent Winegrowers Association’s charter of quality.

Our reputation allows us to export and promote our Barbier-Louvet brand throughout the world: in the United States, Asia, Europe, Montreal and beyond.
